39 artists, 4 exhibitions, 3 venues. Discover the Bay Area’s most promising young voices in contemporary art at CCA’s graduate show
The 2016 CCA MFA Exhibition takes the form of four off-site group exhibitions in notable art spaces in San Francisco: Fused Space, Minnesota Street Project and Perry Family Event Center. This new approach folds the experience of presenting artwork publicly into the MFA curriculum. The artists’ work will be given focused, formal critical attention from faculty and outside curators, while being open to general art audiences. The exhibitions insert graduating artists into the dynamic structures of the art world.
Debuting a progressive new format for the college’s annual MFA in Fine Arts graduate show, CCA will present its 2016 MFA Thesis Exhibition as a four-part series of showcases to be hosted at off-campus art venues and launched over the course of four weeks (from March 15 to April 23).
