VOLUNTEER WITH THE BAY AREA DISCOVERY MUSEUM

Participate in this rare opportunity to assist artist Patrick Dougherty in the creation of a unique sculpture installation at the Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) in January 2017!
Patrick is returning to BADM to create a new willow sculpture in the outdoor exhibit, Lookout Cove. Previously, he created installations at BADM in 2004 and 2012. BADM is thrilled to welcome him back a third time thanks to a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. atrick Dougherty mixes primitive building techniques with tree saplings as a construction material. Over the last 30 years, he has built over 250 monumental scale environmental works. His sculptures have been seen worldwide – from Scotland and Japan to Brussels and all over the United States
Patrick is looking for adult volunteers to help create this new installation. Two four-hour volunteer shifts are available daily from January 9 through January 27. For more information and to sign up visit the eventbrite page.
